A gathering on a patio balcony at a home in San Pedro was disrupted on Saturday night when the structure collapsed and eight adults dropped 8 to 10 feet, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman said. The victims reportedly suffered minor to moderate injuries in the collapse. The cause has not been determined.
